We Believe:
In the Bible, which is the inspired and infallible written Word of God.(II Tim. 3:16; II Peter 1:21)
In one God, who created the Heavens and earth and all that is in them; who is eternally existent in three persons — God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Hebrews 11:3)
In God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died and was buried. He rose again, ascended to the Father, and will return to this earth in power and glory. (Matthew 3:16,17)
In the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity, Who came from the Father and the Son, to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; to regenerate the believing sinner, and to indwell, guide, instruct, cleanse and empower the believer for godly living and service. (John 14: 16, 17, 26; 15:26; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14)
In Salvation, which is the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ. (Psalm 130:4; Jeremiah 36:3; Acts 13:38,39; Romans 5:1; I John 3:7; Revelation 19:8)
In Sanctification, the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life. (Leviticus 11:44, 45; Luke 1: 73 – 75; John 17:17; I Thess. 5: 23-23; Hebrews 10: 14 – 15)
In the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life, the other to everlasting damnation. (Psalm 9:17; Matthew 25:46; John 5: 28, 29; 14: 1-3; Romans14:10; I Corinthians 15: 10; Revelations 20:12, 13; 21:8)
How to have a personal relationship with God:
- Acknowledge you are a sinner and need salvation. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
- Understand that consequence of your sin is death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23
- Confess all your sins to God. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:9
- Believe that Jesus died to save you from your sins. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 “Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.” I Corinthians 15:3
- Experience the new birth through faith in Christ. “If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
